NVivo 8 System Requirements NVivo 8

NVivo 8 allows you to open and work with projects from previous versions of QSR software:
NVivo 7, NVivo 2, NVivo 1, N6 (NUD*IST 6), N5 (NUD*IST 5) and N4 (NUD*IST 4).

System requirements
• 1.2 GHz Pentium III-compatible processor (1.6 GHz Pentium 4 or faster recommended).
• 512MB RAM (1GB RAM or more recommended).
• 1024 x 768 screen resolution (1280 x 1024 screen resolution or higher recommended).
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional SP4 (Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or later –
including Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 – recommended).
• Approximately 1GB of available hard-disk space (2GB recommended)

The current version of NVivo 7 is 7.0.281.0. Service Packs to upgrade are available to all users.

Vista users: The latest version of NVivo 7, which includes Service Pack 4, (NVivo 7 version number 7.0.281.0) works on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

XSight XSight System Requirements"

The minimum system requirements to run XSight are:

  • 600MHz Pentium II compatible processor
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 800 x 600 screen resolution
  • Operating system - Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4
  • Approximately 300MB of available hard-disk space

The recommended system requirements are:

  • 1.2 GHz Pentium II compatible processor or faster
  • 256 MB RAM
  • 1024 x 768 screen resolution
  • Operating Systems - Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later
  • Approximately 300MB of available hard-disk space
  • Internet connection for software activation

Also, to install XSight, you must have administrator rights for your computer.

The current version of XSight is 2.0.75.0. Service Packs to upgrade are available to all users.

Vista users: The latest version of XSight, which includes Service Pack 1, (XSight version number 2.0.73.0) works on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
