DataSense LLC has provided qualitative data analysis software training, coding and analysis services, and project consultation to hundreds of clients in a variety of disciplines since 1998. Clients include students and working professionals obtaining their doctoral degrees; university and community college faculty; and professional researchers of universities, major and mid-sized corporations, and private organizations.
Karen I. Conger, Ph.D., the owner of DataSense LLC, enjoys the strategic and creative challenges of qualitative analysis using technology. Karen became one of the first independent research consultants for QSR software upon completion of her doctoral studies in which she utilized QSR NUDIST 3. She formed DataSense LLC in 1998 and has offered expert coding, online training, and consultation in all versions of NVivo software throughout this time.
Dr. Conger provides expert NVivo coding and consultation services for students, faculty, and professional researchers. Having served as qualitative methodologist, faculty member, and dissertation committee member at The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership at Walden University in the Ph.D. program, she is cognizant of the variety of research designs within qualitative research methodology (including structured content analysis). This educational background and experience provides knowledge and respect for the rigor and ethical boundaries required in various doctoral programs. Many committee chairs and committee members refer their students to Dr. Conger and trust her integrity and professionalism.
Dr. Conger has also served as adjunct faculty at university level in mathematics and statistics, and credentialed secondary mathematics teacher in California.
Other work experience includes writing for the educational market, financial brokerage (General Securities Representative Examination Series 7 licensing), and accounting. Grant writing experience includes technology grants funded by General Electric and the State of California.
Artistic interests involve fine art and she devotes many hours to these activities. She finds there are many creative and innovative parallels between these two professions and each is enhanced by the other. Her artwork can be viewed at karenconger.com.
